Owner: Deborah Adams-Wingate
Ms. Wingate received her B.S. in Nursing from George Mason University in 1995, followed by an M.S. in Nursing from Duke University in 2002. Certified as an as an Adult/ Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Wingate has 23 years experience as a Registered Nurse in hospitals and private practice with special interest in oncology, geriatrics and autoimmune disease. She has worked 16 years in Adult/Geriatric Primary Care, and has owned Patient Centered Care - a family practice with offices in Wilmington and Bolivia, NC - for 11 years.

Practice Manager: Heather Wingate
Heather lives in Wilmington with her daughter, Jayden Marie. Heather opened the doors at PCC in October 2007 and has been instrumental in growing the Practice through prompt customer service, attention to detail and warm inviting attitude. Always ready with a helping spirit, Heather is your go-to person at Patient Centered Care. Frequently found desk-side is Heather's daughter Jayden, a Junior at New Hanover High School. When not at the office, they can be found enjoying the outdoors with their four-legged family member, Sammie or watching Jayden perform in local stage productions.

Mental Health Nurse Practitioner: Tammy Arms
In an effort to provide all-inclusive care; Tammy provides in-house mental health care for Patient Centered Care. Tammy Arms began her career as a Certified Nurse Assistant while in high school. She then attended Eastern Kentucky University where she obtained her ADN as a RN in 1997. She completed her BSN at University of North Carolina Greensboro and went on to obtain her MSN with Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner concentration. She then attended University of Tennessee Health Science Center to achieve her DNP with a Psyche/Mental Health concentration. She is board certified as an Adult, Geriatric and Family Psyche/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Tammy is married to Oliver, a retired Marine and mother to 15 yr old Devlin. They have 4 dogs and enjoy spending time outdoors as a family.

Nurse Practictioner: Shalane Moore
Mrs. Moore began her career when she received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Cape Fear Community College in 2011. Shalane went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from UNC- Wilmington in 2013 before completing her Masters in Nursing, from Duke University in 2017. Mrs. Moore worked as a hospital staff nurse and clinical coordinator in general surgical and Women's specialty units for 6 years. She worked as a nursing clinical instructor and tutor for Cape Fear Community College for 5 years before coming to Patient Centered Care as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Mrs. Moore's goal is to bring her passion for teaching and wellness to each patient interaction to help individuals achieve their optimal health.

Medical Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator: Brandi Lowery
Brandi lives in Winnabow, NC with her husband, Austin. She graduated from South Brunswick High School in 2012 as Certified Nurse Assistant and since that time, became a Medical Assistant. Brandi plans to continue her career and education in medical field. She enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and has a love for fishing.
